Angolan Giraffe

The Angolan Giraffe is isolated in Africa to the southern parts of Angola, the northern parts of Namibia, and the western parts of Botswana. It is one of the tallest mammals on Earth.

Angolan Giraffe Description

Latin Name: Giraffa camelopardalis Average Height: 5 -6 m
Distribution: Parts of Angola, Namibia and Botswana (Africa) Average Weight: 1270 kg
 

The Angolan Giraffe is also commonly known as the Smoky Giraffe. They are identified by a large spotted pattern running down the length of their legs. The spots edges are fringed by notches. The Angolan Giraffe is one of the tallest mammals on earth.
