The Gray Bat eats insects, hunting for them at night, while sleeping in caves during the daylight hours. A Gray Bat colony will travel up to about 14 km away from their 'home' cave in search of food. They Gray Bat is an endangered species, and is currently localized in Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama.
